That One F*cking Fly
Hey! Welcome to our Ludum Dare 56 work! hope you like it (´・ᴗ・ ` )
- Story :
You are a fly and you managed to enter a small appartment, and as a fly, you are hungry all the time! Go eat what this human have!
- Gameplay :
Life of a Fly is a sort of simulation game where you control a fly, flying around a house, annoying a human that tries to kill you as you eat their cookies and cake, and also some caterpillar and aphid while you are at it, they are delicious!
As a fly, the human is a bit slower to you than they actually are, as your reaction time is really fast!
There is no real end to this game, just try hitting a big score by eating things, flying towards the light bubbles in the house and have fun flying around in the air!
- Controls :
ZQSD : Movements
Shift : Go down (while flying)
Spacebar : Take off/Go up (while flying)

After much thought, me and my teamate decided to go for a game where you play that one fly you can never catch during spring and summer, that fly that roams around the house at the speed of sound, especially when you try to kill it, that fly that dissapear when you run after it and comes back when you start doing something else.
We also wanted to make a game where you are really small and evolving in a big environment but that was something kind of obvious to us when the theme was dropped. We also did our best to make the fly able to go kind of everywhere on the assets we created!
We also wanted to make the player score points with other means (like turning around the humans head to annoy them) but we didn't manage to do it with the time remaining.
- Mecanics :
- Flying : We can fly around as a fly.
- Crawling on the walls : As a fly, we can walk on everything, included walls
- Human : Be carefull when you land, the human will come for you, they will walk towards you at a steady speed and prepare an attack. They raise their arm and use a random value to choose the time they strike!
- Eat : You can land on cookies, cakes, caterpillar
